This year's Philippine Volcanoes Asian 5 Nations squad will be missing one of its veterans, Josh Sutcliffe, who recently announced his retirement from international Rugby.

"From my first trip as a Volcano to my last A5N tournament, I have been blessed to wear the Sun and the Stars and represent the Philippines. My thanks to the PRFU board, Volcanoes coaches and all the supporters who have created a national union that is Proudly Pinoy and represents the Philippines with pride, respect and honor. It has been awesome to see the union grow and develop with additional national teams, women's programs and youth development that are helping to change lives in the Philippines. I know in the future, I will continue to see the PRFU grow and develop internationally and locally.

In addition, I would like to thank Matt Cullen and Expo Mejia who helped me develop as a player and a Filipino. Also, I want to say thanks to my family who has supported my dreams as an international rugby player. Without the support of my wife, Julie, I would not have been able to commit the time and money to pursuing my dreams.

Finally, I want to thank my fellow Volcanoes. From the training field to the Test match arena, I knew that my brothers were prepared to give everything. I will treasure the memories I have made and I look forward to seeing the Philippine Volcanoes continue to breath fire as they play with respect, discipline and be Proudly Pinoy."

-- Josh

We wish to thank Josh for the valuable service and sacrifices he has made over the years to represent the country. You and the other players who have paved the way for Philippine Rugby will be in our thoughts every time we step onto the pitch. All the best to you & your family. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Last February, Metro Magazine invited us to do a shoot for their April 2012 issue. Shot at the F1 Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, the shoot by photographer, Sara Black was a breeze! Thanks to the Metro Magazine team for such an easy shoot.

Please get a copy of Metro Magazine's April issue to see the finished product :-) Meanwhile, here's a short video that Chris, Jake, Darran, Nick & Kenny did during the shoot.

Did you miss Business Mirror's cover feature on the Volcanoes last December 8? Don't worry, we've posted a copy here for you to enjoy.

Thanks to Mike Policarpio and the Business Mirror Health & Fitness team and EJ Francisco of Globe Telecom for making this happen :-)

Oli is one of the nicest guys on and off the field. Eldest son of Marilou from Pangasinan and Nigel from England, he's currently working as an electrician in Sydney, Australia but will soon be playing professional rugby in Japan with his brother Matty.
If you want to congratulate Oli, get in touch with him on Twitter -- he tries his best to answer as many tweets from supporters as he can.

Trivia: In the Asian 5 Nations Div 2 Match vs Thailand (2010) Oli, Matty and youngest brother Ben combined to score a staggering 38 out of the Philippines' total 53 points. If that's not proof of good Rugby genes, we don't know what is!

We're sure you'll love watching Matty's action-packed highlights video. In case you have trouble tracking him as he zooms by, he's #6 in black and #7 & #14 in red :-)

We received requests from our supporters for more photos, so we've prepared a few more for all of you. To start off, here's Kenny's set card. Kenny is currently in the US, but will head to Australia soon to pursue his Master's Degree.

Trivia: Kenny's sister, Elizabeth Mae, is a multi-awarded figure skater and was on the Philippine Figure Skating team from 2008 - 2010.
